Overhill Battery Energy Storage Project

The Overhill project is being developed adjacent to the 33 KV Rothienorman substation. Originally initiated by One Planet Developments, the project was acquired by Pulse Clean Energy in 2022 and is now expected to come online in late 2025.

Built on approximately 8.9 acres of former grazing land, the project will not only deliver flexible energy storage capacity but also enhance biodiversity as around 5 acres of low ecological value grassland will be rewilded into a native wildflower and grassland meadow, with sections planted as native woodland.
