The Corporate Finance Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the financial strategy, investment decisions, and commercial growth of the company’s portfolio. Reporting to the Corporate Finance Manager, this role involves financial modelling, market analysis, project valuation, and supporting investment cases for BESS projects. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with an understanding of the energy transition, renewables, and grid-scale storage economics.
This position is full time and will be working at least 4 days per week in our office in central London (Victoria).
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate investment opportunities across geographies.
- Partner with teams across the business to perform proactive analysis and make strategic recommendations.
- Assist with capital raising activities including corporate debt and project finance.
- Perform scenario modelling and stress testing to assess company sensitivity to market volatility, regulatory changes, and technological performance.
- Analyse the impact of M&A and strategic decisions on project-level and portfolio-level returns (IRR, NPV, payback periods).
- Lead due diligence efforts; analysing technical, legal, and financial documents to assess risks and opportunities.
- Contribute financial input to contract negotiations (EPC, O&M, land agreements, grid connections).
- Provide modelling support in the annual budget process for the Group and Lenders, working with the CFO and finance team.
What you need to succeed:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
- ACA Qualified or a CFA charterholder (or equivalent).
- Experience working in transaction services for an accountancy practice or renewable energy business.
- Expertise in financial modeling and analysis (Power BI or Python is desirable) .
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
